Shifting radio frequencies for european stations

Posted a while ago with no replies.
Trying to find an easy way to program my Media center 430 to shift its odd radio frequencies to even numbers. All stations in my country are even.
My GC Laredo X 70 ann. 2011 was exported from the US and it can't be locked on local radio stations. (for example: 101 Mhz to change to 100 Mhz, 97.7 Mhz to change to 97.8 Mhz).
Replies will be highly appreciated

Hi

the 430 / RBZ or the 430n / RHB, you can do nothing for have the "european" freqencies, this unit you can not convert.

Hi,
Just a glitch in Tapatalk.
Anyway, as i am on the line; there is a pretty good forum about MyGigs that might help.
Also have a look at this link http://www.customtronix.com/ they do it for about 400,- Euros. Haven't found the 430 so far but it might worth to contact them.

That's said enough ;-)

Have a nice Sunday

I contacted Customtronix, they offered me a small box that will go between the radio and the antenna. this will shift the dial to match even numbers.
they also will offer in few weeks an Iphone integration cable that will support radio app and GPS app to be controlled and visualized from the Media center 430 lcd screen. this will solve issues of navigation for those not having the N version of the 430 and for those seeking maps of other countries for exported cars.

Brining back an old thread. Do you have any more info on the box that you use between the radio and the car? I'm military and have a US spec 2015 with the 840N and just picked up the Jeep in Italy. I can't listen to most of the stations around here as my radio only goes to odd numbers. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Bumping old thread. Does anyone have any info on what is the best way to do the conversion? I am shipping my vehicle to Poland from USA.

Welcome to Europe. I'm here in Italy and shipped my 2015 US spec WK2 here in June of 16 as part of a military move. I've been looking into this and what I've come to find out is we would need to buy a new center stack which they call an 8.4N ROW (Rest of World) unit for the tune of about $1300 dollars. I haven't done this. I ended up buying a $150 Ipod with an FM receiver built in and use that plugged into my aux port to listen to even radio stations, which is what the AFN station here broadcasts on. I don't know why they don't use an odd station since most of the vehicles military members bring over are still US spec.

As for a GPS, I have a window mount Garmin with Euro Maps. It works fine.

Both of these items take away from the look of my Overland but it's a lot cheaper then buying a center stack that I'd only use for 3 years. I've seen plenty of other US spec Jeeps here, but not sure I'd be able to sell it when I leave and get any kind of money back.

If you find something else please let me know.

Jon
