Stylish Nerf & Side Bars

Hi guys,

I would like to install on my car stylish Side Bars. I went to our dealer here in the middle east and it seams they are providing a really ugly one. Not just hear I think it's in the US and every where.

I just don't like them. They don't convince me to install them on the car. The feel they make the car look ugly from the side which I don't like. If i want to install something I want my car to stand out really.

I was looking for after market side bars, but I don't know if they are going to fit or not. It says in the website for model 2005-2009, but will they actually fit?

Here is the link: http://www.jeep4x4center.com/jeep-ne...running-boards

If anyone know where can i find something good looking, please help out. Don't post the OEM one because it makes me sick:motx:

For some reason, the above listed site switches you over to something different. I have also been looking at the Steelcraft products, and the site is www.steelcraftautomotive.com

I was looking at their bull bars for the front, but they block off the adaptive cruise laser system, so will have to wait for something different. Their sport bars (front and rear) look very nice and might work, but they are not yet being made for the WK2.

I 've been looking for nice looking running boards for a while and will be having these Onki Volcano's installed this week on my 2012 Overland Summit.

http://www.onkicorp.com/proVolcano.html

It is very difficult to find many of these products that fit correctly on the WK2's simply because of poor marketing. I contacted Onki and they said they fit the WK2 great but their website along with all the dealers don't list them as an option when searching by vehicle. I would hope for their own sake they get this updated. I'll post pics hopefully in a couple days when installed but I thin the all black Volcano's will look great!

I'm seriously thinking about the Mopar rails. I saw them on a few MW3 Wranglers at the dealer. They were pretty sweet if your into the functional minimalist thing. Nice wrinkle finish. Not quite as minimal as the Rocky Road rails.

I have the black Aries nerf bars on my Laredo X and really like the look. Only have had them about 2-3 months so far without incident. Can post a pic if you want.

OK here are the Onki's installed.
My opinions
Pro's
Look awesome
Con's
1. Installer said a real pain in the $#@ to install and needed some custom stability brackets to beef it up which most installers would know how to do I suppose.
2. They don't come out far enough to really just step up on them easily. I think you can bring them out further but not sure if there would be a gap.
3. They do not send instructions and the kit is not necessarily for the WK2 but general truck assembly in various lengths so make sure you know what your doing or hire someone good!

Overall I really like the looks and that is mainly what I have them for. Ideally they could be installed out slightly further to step up easier.

Oh yea, you'll see my color matched side mirrors. I've done the Grill and Jeep logo up front also so far. Tinted the front windows. Got winter Blizzak's on with no snow!
