Power window not working properly

After 15,000 miles the first problem arose but it's relatively minor.
My power window on the drivers side no longer rolls down completely with one touch, I have to press it 5-6 times to get it to roll completely down. Same thing with going back up.
Taking it in tomorrow to have Chrysler look at it. Will let y'all know what they say. I'm suspecting it's something as simple as a bad regulator but we shall see.

Re: Power window not working properly

Just to update my post the window regulator had to be replaced. Part was ordered and then installed today and all is well. Pretty quick and simple fix if anyone else encounters the problem. They had me in and out in about 90 minutes all told.

Re: Power window not working properly

Is it possible to reset these switches in anyway? My overland is starting to do this at times. It always stops and I have to push it several times to lower it to the desired level and the same with going back up. The "auto" function works just fine, however. I'm not sure if it's a switch or regulater issue as the "auto" mode works just fine. I'm guessing it's in the switch.

Re: Power window not working properly

This problem is usually a situation where the motor and DCM (door communication module) are not playing nice. My thought is that the window regulator had to be replaced entirely because the motor had to be replaced (sensor failure for whatever reason) and the motor is not separately service-able from the regulator --- they just replaced the regulator entirely.

That said: ajs800 - I do not believe that there is a way to "reset" the switches. If there is a problem, and you're in warranty - let the d-ship replace the regulator(s) - that is what the warranty is for!
