Rapid HVAC Clicking Noise in Dash When Cold

I've replaced both the blower motor resistor and it's wiring harness on my '05 WK 3.7L as both had obvious signs of heat damage from shorting. I thought this would solve the clicking noise coming from the HVAC system at start up (only when the temp is below freezing). It sounds like it could be a bad relay somewhere in the HVAC system. Twisting the heater controls through their settings sometimes will stop the rapid clicking but it usually continues for about 30 seconds after start-up before it goes away. I have all four blower speeds available, so nothing is wrong with the blower resistor (its brand new, OEM). I've seen some posts of other WK owners experiencing the same issue, but no posts of what the solution is.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can solve this mystery.

Jeepguy, Thanks for the reply. I assume you mean the blend door actuator. I will disconnect the lead to the actuator and see if it stops the clicking. I owe you a beer if you called this one correctly.
