Gas type and shudder

I have a 2012 Overland with V8 and about 1500 miles. I have used 89 and 93 octane. Much of the driving has been a blend of 89 and 93. however the last tank was mostly 93 and it seems the shudder problem at highway speeds is very reduced. Are there any problems running 93 except for the cost? Thanks

Maybe the higher octane affects the MDS system? I find that when I run with the MDS off, I don't get any "shudder" or "drone".

The only thing you'll hurt running a higher than recommended octane is your wallet.

No issues at all on 89 octane.

I was getting annoyed with the vibration/shudder so I played around with the tire pressure and retorqued the wheel lug nuts. I had the dealer install 265 65 R18 Blizzaks before I took delivery and I have driven enough miles that I was certain the tires/wheels were contributing to the problem. All 4 wheels needed the nuts torqued only one wheel was completely torqued I was also running 40 psi (max 44) in the tires, I reduced the pressure to 36 psi. I noticed an improvement right away the drone of the MDS is still there but there is no harshness anymore, I usually put the ERS in 5 for city/country driving and only use D on the interstate just to help the mileage some. Remember it is important to check wheel torque after 100 mi with a new vehicle or whenever the wheels are taken off.
