Anyone have pics of the OME HD top center strut bolt installed?

I had a shop install my OME HD kit. I have 2 issues. There are some occasional noises when going over bumps. I know that if that center nut is not tightened all the way, it can cause noises. I was just wondering if someone may have a pic that shows how much thread should be showing out of the top.

The second problem is that my bump stops on the front struts do not want to stay up in the cup. They don't slide completely down but won't stay completely up there either. Is this common?

Tighten that center nut all the way - no if's and's or butt's :D

Popping has typically come front strut bar - bushings or not being centered when they put it all back together. Some other (small) noises can come from the upper control arm bushing bolts not being tight - less noticeable.

Bump stops - same here - dont really care about them....they'll go back up if they need to. I've put mine back up and they came out...

can you tighten that nut while the strut is installed? I see that there is not enough room to fit a socket on there but a hole saw can fix that.

You can, and it sucks! :p That's the way i did it as i didnt want to take it all out again. If you lower the front wheel assembly with the bolts still sticking through the upper holes, you can get a wrench up top to hold the bolt and a crescent under to turn the nut. It's a pain in the ass, but you'll get it there.

Socket/crescent up top, crescent below......watch your knuckles.... :p

any chance you could snap a pic of the passenger side from the top inside the engine compartment? I am just curious how much thread should be coming out of the top of the nut.
