Another Old Man Emu WJ! Can't Decide???

Hello All!
I have searched soooo much(found the end of the internet I thinkhttp://www.jeepgarage.org/images/smilies/smile.gif doing research on the OME lift options for the WJ. I have found quite a bit of good info/pics but still can't decide on which route I should go???

My Jeep is factory 2000 WJ V8 Limited Selec-trac with upcountry.

I am wanting to stay under 3" of lift for sure.

I would like to keep factory front track bar.

I want Jeep level(no rear rake) If anything maybe a little nose high.

I want to run 245/75r16's.

I have full set new f&r coil isolators and Teraflex swaybar disconnects sitting in garage ready to go.

I have Monroe shocks f&r installed already. Doing my research I see that my current shocks are only .75"-1" shorter than OME shocks.

My f&r fender lip to center of wheel measurement is 18.5". Tells me I lost .5" or so lift over 12 years on front(probably isolators) and 1" rear(isolators/coils)

Should I do:

F&R OME HD coils with or without OME shocks?
F&R OME MD coils with or without OME shocks?
Front HD coils Rear MD coils with or without OME shocks?
Should I get the OME front swaybar?

OR

Just get the 3" IRO Kit?

Sooo confused:screwy:

Any feedback/pics would be greatly appreciated! Posting on a couple different Forums...Wish me Luck!

Thanks,
Scooter

In my opinion I think you should get the 3" IRO Lift with the Bilsteins. My friend is about to go that route on his 99' WJ.

I've heard the Old Man Emu springs are good and with the ever so amazing Bilstein HD shocks I think you would have a great setup.

I would get an adjustable track bar. I had a 2" lift and it had bump steer pretty bad.

@nwb300: How do you like your K&N 57 FIPK?

X2 on the track bar.

I ran the full OME lift (OME shocks and springs) for about 2 years and loved it. Even ran 245/75/16's on it too. I did get some play in the steering over bumps ("Death wobble") but it was cured with an OME steering stabilizer (I run 2 now). I do also run the JKS adjustable trackbar It wasnt needed; helped though.

Loved the ride and feel, but had to add more so i'm "a bit" higher now.

I started with the lght duty springs, they are great if you don't add any weight. So I would say think about what you are going to do later.

Then I put on my ARB bumper and winch... Had to change to the HD springs. a bit stiffer, but was pretty good and not quite level. So 3/4" spacer came on the front to level it out.

Now it's all hacked up and custom long arms in progress, the rear bumper made me do that.

I like it. Works really well when you run it with Flyin Ryan's ported throttle body.

Also something to keep in mind is since you already have upcountry springs you are only gonna gain about an inch of lift with the OME lift.

Ended up IRO 3"
I got my 3" IRO installed and it works perfect! Rides great and no DW at all! I ended up getting the kit with no shocks and ordered Rough Country 2.2 Series shocks with the built in bumpstops. I ended up getting some Cooper AT/3 245/75R16 tires so I could still fit spare in factory area. Also installed a rear Spartan locker and works great so far...:D
