Designing Stereo Based False Floor - Looking for Input

So I've seen a few people have done some false floors for their amps and storage, but I'm looking to design something that has it all - including the sub box. I have some ideas sketched out but looking for some rough dimensions from anyone who has their factory floor ripped out or has them saved somewhere. The biggest one I'm looking for is the depth, but if you could get me the overall length of the back (sides and center) as well as the width, that would be great!

For right now, I'm planning to incorporate some storage locations for the jack and tire iron, anther cubby for my hitch and jumper cables, two amp locations, as well as a slot ported shallow box for a JL Audio 10W3. Aside from the sub box section, it will all have hinged doors and possibly some LED lighting when the doors open. All the doors will have handles similar to the factory trap door and all will be secured utilizing the factory bungie cord plastic circle things. Ideally, the entire setup will look factory from the outside and interfere as little as possible with my daily use of the cargo area.

A few other questions if people can share some input:

1. Has anyone built a true slot port to spec that can share any tips?

2. Has anyone ever carpeted over a speaker grill? With the port and the speaker both going to be covered by grills and flushed into the floor, I want them to be protected but still not be noticeable from the outside

3. What have you found in terms of carpet or other material to maintain a factory look in the tan interior?

4. I've been finding that people suggest 1/2" plywood for the floor to prevent warping if it gets wet, but of course speaker boxes should be from 3/4" MDF. Any truth to this? IF I went with MDF, any suggestions on protecting it? Maybe spray on bedliner under the carpet?
