Steaming Jeep

The other day after driving it about 6 inches of snow I noticed steam coming from the front when I pulled in the garage. I didn't notice the temp gauge running any higher than normal. Could the steam just be from driving in the snow?

I've noticed steam after getting it washed when it's cold out. In my case it seem to originate from the radiator.

Now in your case I'm not sure. Best would be to try and see where it's coming from.

It seemed to be coming from the front so I would assume it was close to the radiator. It didn't have a odor or smell hot.

Come to think of it I did notice it once when it was raining during the summer.

I have it, but did not think anything of it as I have had it on other vehicles. I assumed it is result of moisture (rain, snow, car wash water) hitting hot radiator. Some radiators are closer to the grill than others. What do you think?

I'd vote radiator location as well. Noticed steam everytime I wash my car.

It happened to my '97 Cherokee Sport and my current '01 WJ Limited. For the '97, it was after washing it and in the winter after driving it. My '01, only after I wash it. No biggie.

Since other people have the same thing happening after driving in snow or rain I'm not going to worry about it.

Thanks for the replies.

+1 to what everyone replied: snow, car wash, rain, all cause it.

Same here I notice it a lot when it is raining. My 5.9 limited always did it too.
