Programmer?

I have a 2002 jeep grand overland with the 4.7 HO. I love the motor and all but we all know the 4.7s lack a little power. I been looking for a programmer or a chip but I don't know what to go with. Tax time is almost here and I would like to get one. I want something that can offer better towing, HP, and gas. I only run 93 octane in it here in Virginia but I don't know if other states will have 93 when I go on trips with my family. I have only ever herd of superchips having made one for my jeep but I would like more info into others and what is the best one for the money.

Thanks,

Re: Programmer?

Superchips is the only one that I know of that specifically covers our HO engines. The Diablosport Predator only covers the WK's. SCT will work and it supports custom tunes but you don't have any Jeep specific options. To me unless you get a wideband O2 sensor, data log and get a custom tune it's just not worth it. Don't get me wrong,if you are gonna build your engine and get the absolute most out of it SCT is the way to go. It's gonna cost you more than a tuner though. Me I'm very satisfied with Superchips and it's just more practical for a DD. You just can do a lot more with it.

Re: Programmer?

Depends on what you intend to do with your vehicle. If its staying stock get SC, if not, get SCT. Diablo will support the older models eventually but right now there is no ETA. :(
