5000K vs 6500K HID

I am looking into getting the extreme HID conversion kit from xenon depot for my 07 srt8. I want to avoid the stock yellow light look but I also want to avoid having too blue of light. I know 5000K is very white but does anyone know if there is any yellow in it? Is the blue seen from the 6500K really that blue or is it only a hint of blue? I am asking this because I haven't seen a good comparison of the two and I am worried that the 6500K will look like the cheap very blue halogen bulbs that a ton of people use to mimic true HIDs. Any info or pictures would be a great help.

I would personally go with 5000k. They are pure white. No yellow in it.

5000k is white with a tiny hint of blue. i have them in my WK right now but am switching to 4300k because i dont like the 5000k (a little too blue) 6500k will look very ricer (blue) and will not be as bright.

I have tried the 4500k, 5000k and 6500k and I prefer the look of the 5000k personally.

I currently have XenonDepot 5000K and love them - they are PURE WHITE. They start up a little blue, but they go white. I've had 6000 and 6500's, both with slightly more blue than the previous. I've not had 4300, but i do like the 5000's - check my build thread for some light output pics.

Re: 5000K vs 6500K HID

Is the 5000K noticeably blue aka typical ricer blue? I really don't want to look like a ricer. And from this I gather that 5000K is pretty much white with a hint of blue and since I want to avoid yellow and ricer blue this is probably my best bet.

SvenskaJeepGuy is there any way you could post a pic or two of your lights from the front and from inside looking out?

You dont look at the 5000's and go "man, those look kinda blue"....you say "damn, those are white.....in fact, i dont even know if i notice the blue" :) Again - i have 5000 output pics in my build thread and i have XenonDepot's kit - not sure if the others have a diff experience.

I have had the 5000 and 6500k Xenondepot xtreme HID's in halogen 07 housings and I think the 6500K would DEFINETELY be too blue for you. 5000K will be perfect. I have 5000K d1s xenondepot bulbs now if my 08+ projectors
