Bilstein shock report

Just a post script on the Bilsteins and SRT8 rear sway bar I added 6 weeks ago.

The upgrade makes a HUGE difference while towing. I pulled my 3000lb boat over the weekend, and it was like night and day. Nice solid ride. No more rollercoaster bouncing, wondering if the waves were ever going to stop.

This should be the first mod on anyone's list.

Nice to hear. Thanks for the report. I have the Bilsteins and SRT rear sway still sitting in the garage. Just waiting for a free day on the weekend when it's not raining to do the install. Glad to hear it helps with the towing as mine bounces like crazy when I pull my boat.

Re: Bilstein shock report

the WK Bilsteins IMO where a HUGE improvment over stock. Only thing I didnt like was they were still a little bouncy for what I wanted and they raised me 3/8". Still...they are night and day compared to stock. I went for the SRT Bilsteins for the high performance handling i was looking for.

Re: Bilstein shock report

Yup there is a difference between the two bilsteins. Don't install the SRT8 bilsteins unless you plan on lowering because they don't have the travel needed for stock height. I noticed the same 3/8" increase in height and no more bounce in the ride. Undulations on the highway don't phase the Jeep anymore.

I second everything Ryan (BlackPepper) says...I have the same mods and love them. By next week I will have the bwoody links and front sway on...so I will post any changes I notice!
