Pleasantly surprized 3.6L mileage

I've been wondering what the "real" gas milage would be on the GC O 3.6L

Daily milage 125 - 150 miles a day. about 80% is highway @ 3342 miles

22.1 avg mpg. I think it will even get better.

VERY happy!

You aint kiddin. Take a road trip and knock down 550 before a fill up, aint too shabby at all in a 4x4 Jeep.

Jeez, you guys are getting 22 average? I'm at 14 right now, maybe it's because I'm always late for class but maybe I should let my foot off the pedal a bit lol

The mileage will get even better as the weather warms up. I'm getting 17-18 average with about 60/40 highway driving. In September the average was around 20 under the same conditions, and that was before it was broken in.

I'm averaging about 18 MPG with my HEMI. I'm very pleasantly surprised.

I'm getting around 19.8 +/- right now. About two thirds highway. 3000 miles. Temps in the 40s +/- 10.

On the weekends where I might do some long pure highway trips it easily flies up to 22.something.

And when it gets cold out, i.e., freezing or below, it easily goes down to 18.something.

Re: Pleasantly surprized 3.6L mileage

I had not check my long term mileage in months. I just happened to look like yesterday and noted 14.8 MPG. Lots of in town miles, with a handful of long-ish trips (2-4 hours each way). Just crossed 10k miles.

This feels low to me! I am probably a bit too heavy on the pedal. In the last 2 days, I am at 18.8 in mixed driving intentionally lighter on the pedal.

Re: Pleasantly surprized 3.6L mileage

Right now I am getting 14.3 mpg V6, thats surbuban driving, in the summer I get about 15.5 mpg. So I drive a quarter mile stop, drive a quarter mile stop and so on. The area is a little hilly but not exstreme. I am also very light on the pedal, but can't seem to up my mpg's I have 6000 miles on the od. But it better then the Hemi I had in my 08 limited, which got about 11-12 mpg in the same driving area.
