subs crackiling.
 
ok so im super pissed but its just a reason to upgrade. its not fully blown just starting to crackle. im looking into some MB quartz, another newer ma audios and some JL audios. anyone got anything for sale? lookin for something around 500 rms at 2 ohm, DVC if possible and obviously a 15 haha.

What size is your enclosure?

DO you have 2 subs? A loss of power in a channel of the amp can make it do things similar to that. Bad VC? is it physically coming apart?

He's only got one (see sig).

Blown voice coil = scratching sound... seem like the correct diagnosis here.

ive been around the park guys, its blown ive had them come apart though it looks funny when they do. but yah its all good just a reason to upgrade. the enclosure is around 3 square feet.

yah i built it my self its fiberglassed on the inside, i pan on building a ported one for the new sub.

Oh, so you're building a new enclosure for whatever you get... okay, well that changes things. And you've got 500 watts @ 2 ohms on tap. Hmmm, let me think...

i like the D3's and the Ho and the MB quart those are the three im pickin from im gunna ask some shops around here if they have any deals on those three.
