freedom top leaks

joined this forum after I discovered it doing a search, I'm trying to find info on water leak. When I park my wrangler unlimited on a hill facing uphill, in the rain, my back seat gets soaked. when I move the jeep , both driver and passenger seat get rained on, at the outside shoulder? anybody out there with info, dealer removed the tops and put them on, then water tested didn't find leak. Two weeks later, back seat wet again, HELP

Good to know, I will be getting my Wrangler soon and I will have to check this out. It should be quick that you will get a response from folks that know more. Your post helped me prepare. Sorry your soggy though. I wonder if it is a design flaw or just a fluke with your particular top? Is it under warranty?

Re: freedom top leaks

Two things

1. Sounds silly but make sure the 2 screw caps are tight , not overly right but to the point where you cant twist it ( i had the same problem once)

2. On each side, the driver and passenger there are 2 little rubber flaps that are right above where the windshield meets the tops make sure they are not folded in from the t- tops they should fit right into the groves but if you weren't aware of them u could crease them therefore making it leak in passenger and driver doors .

Hope this helps

I doubt you are still having issues, but if the dealership didn't take care of you, here's your answer. There is a recall for the seals in the freedom top. I found out my freedom top leaked when I took it through a touchless car wash. Dealer replaced the top free of charge.

Put the hard top back on if you have one and leave it there.
I gave my soft top away when I bought my COD and never had any problems with the hard top.
