Minor interior trim / fit issues - normal?

I have noticed two minor issues with the trim on my new 2012 Overland, with the saddle interior.

For one, the plastic / rubber piece that surrounds the steering wheel is shifted a little bit to the left, so that there is a slight gap between it and the wood piece that has the starter button in it (if you look closely, you can see the unfinished tab on the wood trim that looks like it should fit into the rubber piece). I'm only talking about 1-2 millimeters or so, but it is visible if you look.

Second - the left air vent on the driver's side dashboard, and surrounding wood/leather trim, does not perfectly match up with the corresponding pieces on the door - the entire trim/vent area on the dashboard sticks out slightly (but noticeably) more towards the driver than the corresponding pieces on the door. Again, it's not horrible, but if you look at it, it does not line up.

This is all minor, and the interior is beautiful otherwise, but I'm wondering if this kind of thing is normal, or if I should say something to the dealer. I'm coming from an old BMW, which had flawless fit of every piece in the interior, so maybe I'm just being too picky...

I wouldn't call it normal and I'd say something to the dealer. Whenever I notice things like that, even though its minor, it really bothers me since I stare at the dash more than another part of the car. It might be fixable with just some minor tweaks. Its under warrantly so what could it hurt?

I have the exact same trim issues, they replaced the trim and there is still a gap showing the wood trim tab. I did get a couple of new rattles though, I would just leave it be as they have to remove a lot to replace it.

Ive had to have my piece above the glove box replaced because the veneer actually snapped on its own as it was peeling in a corner, but regardless it also wasn't fitted properly and you saw the piece underneath the veneer as the very far left end, the new piece is fine and aligned as it should be.
