Re: oil catch can

There's no reason why you couldn't. You'll just have to fab a way to mount it. Also be sure to get a can with a baffle in it.

BT can is probably your best bet, but any catch can will work if mounted and hooked up properly.

agreed...do this mod, home made or bought, as there is so much CRAP in there on a regular basis it is crazy. I should have put one in on mile 2 haha

MAke sure you use heavy duty reinforced tubing for hooking it up to your PCV. Coolant hoses from a parts store are not and are dangerous. If there is the slightest puncture or crack, you risk inhaling CO gases, which can be fatal or cause permanent brain damage. Where a code will normally be thrown if the egr or pcv valve goes bad, there will not be a code for a leaking tube you put in.

Look at the Billet Technology oil catch can. http://www.custombilletstore.com/Hem...an_p/20010.htm Make your own L-bracket mount from Home Depot (6" x 6" x 1" wide). Mount to the rear bolt of the passenger side cross-brace, near the PCM. Leave enough room underneath to unscrew and empty it. Bracket costs about $2.50. Think there is a how-to thread on here somewhere.

PCV valve won't generate a DTC. Emissions hose or heavy duty fuel hose will work well. The length with the BT oil catch can wasn't long enough so I bought one with longer length (about 2 ft). May need hose clamps to properly hold the hoses on.

YU[p, I also mounted my Billet in the same place, pass side bolt on crossbrace, with the L bracket from Menards. I used steel web reinfored clear tubing with hose clamps. Check the CC about every 3-4 weeks, and there is about an ounce collected in there. I also removed the Hemi engine cover as it presses against the hoses slightly.
