BRAKES that break - WJ rear caliper upgrade yet??
First time on the forum, so I apologize for the rookiness of this. I upgraded my teves to akebonos (front) a year ago, and have been very very happy with them, in a ddition with slotted rotos.:D
Now about half a year my LEFT REAR brake started making a clicking noise when pressure is applied. All four hub assemblies have been replaced during the akebono upgrade, and are still in good condition after inspection. pads are new. not a TC issue, good axles and very well maintained diffs. I refuse to go to a local mechanic because it always ends up liek this :slapfight::slapfight::confused:
Trying to rule out all the causes, and spending hours on forums, I did many tests, and it is the rear brake. The noise is very fast clicking. So could be a sticking caliper, seized piston, etc.
Im so tired of trying to figure this out, that i started thinking about the following...
IS IT POSSIBLE TO PUT WK REAR CALIPERS ON WJ (or any other make and model that does not have a spring, or anything like teves)???
