Removing Headlight Lens...Please Help
So I ordered the Oracle CCFL Halo kit (http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...RACLEHalo.aspx)
and was able to find a local shop willing to do it as well as paint the stillins for me. They made a couple attempts at trying to get the lens off and then called me and said they're not going to touch it. So I told them that I would take the headlights home take the lens cover off myself and bring it back in the am for them to finish the project. Thought it would be pretty easy...lol not. I have the oven set at 250, I called AAC and they said that WK's were one of the harder lens to take off, but told me to keep putting it in the oven at 20min intervals until that glue loosened. Well I've done that probably 5 times and it still wont budge. Does anyone have any tips or has anyone done this before? Please help, I really don't want to have to bring these back in the AM and have to pay them for putting them back in and the work he already did and have nothing to show for it.
Is the glue black or?
If black..... get a helper. Get every chisel screwdriver small pry bar you and all your friends have.
Heat it. Starting at the side away from blinker. Start using the tools to work at separating the base from the lens. I never had to heat more than 3 times I used about 220 for 12-13 minutes. Did about 4 sets. Never had the problems like u have .
If not black glue. ...if clear get a new set.
