2007 GC Overland 4x4 Ride Height

ive been trying to find out why my overland sits lower than my buddys 2005 rocky mountain 4x4 with the 4.7L. Its a noticeable difference around 2 inches lower. Couldnt find anything about it on the web. Thanks

Well your hemi weighs more than his 4.7. Any tools or weight in the rear?

Thats the only thing I could think of is the hemi weighs more, but the whole back end sits lower too. No gear in the back either.

They suspension is the same on all WK's except for the SRT, so one of yours is not the OEM stock suspension.

Both have original springs and shocks with no spacers. Im going to post some pics you to show the difference.

I completey agree with this. Supposedly there are 11 different part numbers for the springs in an XK (Commander) which is really the same chassis underneath, just heavier. This has sparked some discussion in some other forums about using the XK springs for a small lift in the WK. But I have not been able to find any data for the spring rates for all the part numbers for the XK. Which brings me back to our topic at hand, if the XK has so many spring part numbers, I just betting that the WK has a few also. I support the "Towing" springs comment as my Jeep has a farily pronounced stance and it's all factory. Interestingly, mine did not come with the factory hitch, or the auxiliary cooling fan, which is supposed to comme on all 4.7's with the tow package, yet it apperas to have these springs. Mine also sits higher then an '09 Overland right across the street in on our industrial park. Not much mind you, but you can tell a diffrence when they are side by side at the same stoplight we use when leaving work, as they go right and I go left and we have been side by side before. My beltline at the base of my door window is visably higher than theirs. Here is a photo of mine, all stock, 42K on her:)

I have a 09 4.7 with the class IV tow package and it does sit up high in the back. The build sheet that i had printed out when i bought it under optional equipment said heavy duty rear springs. I think it said fronts as well but i cant find it now.

Wonder why mine does? Don't get me wrong, I like it like that, but the pic clearly shows mine sits up pretty good. Which is why I am eager to throw on Blistiens with the strut spacer and the rear Monroe Load Levelers to see what happens. Maybe my springs just have not "sagged in"? I am looking to add the factory hitch, but it does not look like it would weigh so much to bring the rear end down significantly. I also notice when I take coworkers to lunch, two rear passengers at a weight of 340+ pounds together the rear does not lower very much. I wish we could get ahold of all the spring part numbers and spring rates for these WK's. It would be interesting to see what has been offered on what trim over the years from 2005 to 2010.

What I ment to say was wonder why mine sits up and yet I do not have the factory tow package? Maybe during the build the "pick sheet" had the springs on it and none of the other stuff??
