04 wj wiper problems
Hi I have four grand cherokees One of them mine that sits in the garage all the time with 39000 miles on it I am on ssi so I do not drive it much
The problem I am having is with the wipers yesterday I went to the drs and it started to rain I put on the wipers and nothing happen but IF I hit the washer they would work a few time then off witch is normal for that and that was how I had to drive it Then I was sitting in my drive way and turn off the switch off and on about 30 times Then they came back on and worked the rest of the day
SO I thought the switch was bad This morning I went In the garage and tried them and Nothing again sat there turned the switch off and on and still nothing Then I got out of the car closed the door and they started back up and have been working all day so I don't think the switch would work closing the door My thinking now is IT might be the relay under the hood
Has any one had this problem My other was get used all the time this one does sit a lot in the garage

Re: 04 wj wiper problems
I'd check the fuses and relays and go from there.

Re: 04 wj wiper problems
I would swap the wipers on/off relay in the power distribution center with one of the others and check again. The relay can be bad and slamming the door made it working again, but that can also be the case with the switch stack.
Do you have the rain sensor on your jeep?
If swapping the relay doesn´t help, i would try tapping around the switch, to see if that does anything. But i would put my bet on the switch stack.
