Hello...meet my 2012 GC

I've been waiting to post pictures until I got the lift, wheels, and tires on. After seeing the wrangler duratracs on some of the other members rides I knew it was the perfect tire. Went with the procomp 7036 wheels and the RR 2.5" spacer lift. Pepboys was actually willing to install the lift for me as it didn't involve any modifying of parts. Just charged me for the labor of changing the stock struts as that's pretty much all it is except for bolting on the spacers.

Came out just the way I wanted. Followed this concept http://www.activityvehicle.com/2011/...rand-cherokee/

Ran into some rubbing that I wasn't expecting based on what I researched here but was able to take care of it taking a grinder to the inner fender as referenced in this thread http://www.jeepgarage.org/showthread...ighlight=quest
I know the rubbing was do to my 18x9 0 offset wheels.

Painted the grille and rear piece black and pulled off all the badges and the side trim for more of a clean look.

All tastes are different and that is great!
You must be going off-road with this tire setup.
Personally I wouldn't like to deal with the tire noise nor what the tire width does to the vehicle when driving off-road or even on dirty roads.
The side view with everything removed looks too blunt to me but then I'm a guy who prefers stock with no modifications at all :)
I prefer black and a bit of Chrome.

Ya chrome is nice, especially on black. I thought about painting the door trim black but didn't think it was worth the effort. I've always been a fan of black over chrome as you can see from my last truck

I will be offroading with it as I go to Pismo Beach quite frequently and the local off road park. I should have some video's soon as I'm planning on hitting the offroad park in about 2 weeks. The tires ride smooth with a light hum.

It is great so far. I actually like a bit better, with the wider stance I feel more confident in the turns. I was planning on getting the extending sway bar links as others have done but the ride seems fine so I might hold off.

Haha, thanks man. I spent many hours looking for just the right setup to fit my tastes. Frankly I feel these pics don't do it justice, the early morning light isn't the most flattering.

you should've taken pics on a dirt hill instead of the mall parking lot:lol:;)

Agree with the slab sides needing some strong horizontals (chrome pieces) but think grille is a bit much. OTOH do not think flat black on deep cherry will work but on the gripping hand think $700 for the body colored grille is a bit much. Any aftermarket provider of an unpainted grille out there ?

Everybody's got their own taste. I prefer clean, and i think the body line in the door brakes it up just fine. Furthermore, the white and black concept jeeps which have threads on this forum have no door trim and black grilles.

As i said over on jeepforum, looks nice, love the wheels and tires.
Dont worry what others think, long as you like it, no need to explain your choices.

Would be interesting to see how it goes offroad, and on road in normal driving.

I reckon some rock rails would make it look even better
