Range display...

Just got my first Jeep GC Overland. I drove it off the lot on Saturday with 43Km. on the display, + it shows DTE 204 Km. (does this mean the Distance I can drive with the amount of gas I have ? )
Now I have only 55Km. and the DTE drops to 133Km. ...???? Is this DTE accurate at all??
Thanks again for your help.

Re: Range display...

That is an instantaneous reading. The computer calculates the range based on the current throttle position, assuming that it won't change until the gas tank is empty. As soon as you change the throttle position it recalculates and comes up with a new range estimate. Go up a hill and you'll see your range start to drop. So yes it's accurate...but don't forget to check the gas gauge once in a while!!
