Keyless Enter-n-Go Issue..

Hey team..

So the last time I used my GC was Monday afternoon and today Thurday afternoon when I went to open my jeep the car did not respond when I touched the handle.

I tried both key fobs. I could lock, unlock, and remote start by pressing the buttons, BUT I would not open by touch. After I got in and manually started the car it again responded to my touch. Anyone else have this issue? Is this a safety feature?

I will go hide under my rock now.

Funny thing is I JUST called the dealership and a service advisor told me there is an issue with moisture getting into the door handle and they need to be replaced if this happens. HOW DO THEY HIRE THESE PEOPLE?!

Thank you Mongoose I will never question you again!

Haha, no problem boss. I don't read anything but I skimmed through my guides and for some reason everything just sticks, like a photographic memory lol. So much new stuff on my WK2 SRT I figured it was wise to find out how things work. I remember I saw it somewhere. I was just being lazy and didn't want to post a pic lol.

I see a bromance developing here.

If interested, that kind of memory is usually called eidetic and is not limited to images. People with eidetic memory often can read very fast, some remember everything (can quote), others remember that they saw it and where (have to look up but can find easily). Either is valuable.

So what do you think is the solution when one of the fobs works(RKE),and the other one only the buttons work (no RKE)?

The fob isn't transmitting a strong enough signal? Change the battery and reattempt..

I don't understand your question.

You mean RKE=Remote Keyless Entry, correct? Just so we are on the same page. Or, are you talking about the Keyless Enter-N-Go feature? These are two different things. IE using a button to unlock the door, RKE. Or, touching the handle for Keyless Enter-No-Go. Please clarify this point.
