Fuel economy...
I am embarassed to ask this....:o but I will anyway....I'm trying to figure out the Fuel cosumption of my new Overland. It shows AVG. 28.3 on the top of the Fuel Economy display......what exactly does it mean....???

That's your average fuel economy. The bottom bar is the instantanious fuel economy.

Re: Fuel economy...
If it's reading 28.3 average, it means it is not working properly. No GC gets avg. mpg that high. :brows:

Re: Fuel economy...
He's in Canada, so it's miles per something other than gallons.

Re: Fuel economy...
Most likely, it is displaying the mileage in kilometers. If so, 28.3 KM equates to 17.58 miles.

Re: Fuel economy...
if its canada then that would be Litres/100km.
thats what mine is

and if thats the case then u arent going very far on a tank of gas lol

Re: Fuel economy...
Do you have the EVIC set to metric units? Then it means 28.3 L per 100 kms, which is terribly bad!
Should be in the 10 - 14 range as a general rule over a tankful or more.

Re: Fuel economy...
Definitely something is not right, My Srt is consuming 20 litres per 100 kms.

What's the mileage on your jeep? maybe you need to take it for a nice highway drive

Re: Fuel economy...
Seems weird. So just reset it. Get a more normal number.

Re: Fuel economy...
Thank you all.
There must be something wrong....I only have 125KM on it, and the tank is almost empty !! it was almost half a tank when I bought it.....??

Re: Fuel economy...
Good point, but I don't think so, because it's there when I start the car at -15 C. (Minus 15 Celsius )
