So I had a nice day out and decided to do some mods:
1. Swapped fogs and DRLs for LEDs (pictures are pretty bad so I must apologize)
2. Painted the chrome grille to factory match my True Blue pain
3. Installed the top and lower chrome diamond cut grilles by Ablaze.

The combo of the painted OE grille combined with the chromed diamond cut mesh I think turned out really well.
The only downside of the ABLAZE grille, which is the same problem with anything you want to do with the WK2, is the plastic mesh behind the OE chrome is all one piece. So for the overland, it is weaved, so in order to install anything, you have to cut out the attachments of every plastic mesh. After finding this out last week, I ended up buying a Laredo grille, which made the install so much easier.

ABLAZE does great work and made me a custom lower air dam. Instead of chroming it all, they were able to powdercoat the frame of the lower air dam. I think it draws the eye to the chrome mesh, rather than a chrome border. ABLAZE did a excellent job making it blend into the black plastic of the OE bumper.

Let me know what you guys think and if you have any questions!

Ahh this is good, because now instead of just imaging what my car will look like with mods, i just look at yours since its same colour :D

now please put some black rims and 4wd tires on so i can see how that looks haha

Looks good though mate.

Edit: would love to see a pic from further back, like same pic as the one in your sig, but with new mods on it.

Awesome! Looks like a great job painting the grill. I like how Ablaze did the frame in black, that was a nice touch. Congrats.

Now that looks AWESOME. I am so sad I was not able to find one in blue when I got my 2011 JGC Overland.

I attached a photo a little further out for you frog a lot. I am glad I can be the guinea pig for you! But I do want some black off-road wheels/tires too, so I will count on you to get those :D

Thanks guys for the comments! I really appreciate them.
The grille was actually a big problem to get painted around here. No paint shop would touch it since it is chromed plastic and paint always peels off in their experience. After calling about 10 shops, I found a place locally that would paint it with some tips/advice from Scott (who has done other people's WK2s). I hope it holds up, or I will be sending it into Scott after all.

The pictures don't give the grille justice in my opinion.

Looks great!

You forgot the most important one : No license plate mod ;)

I made sure my dealer did not drill the front.

I wish I could do that. I definitely like the clean look much better. I live in a state that requires the front plates so every car on the lot already has the front plate frame mounted :( I just took my plate off for the pictures today.
