aftermarket player + dial pad

Anybody has any good or bad experience with Tradesolution.hk aftermarket dvd players? they are low cost, have full compatibility for the GC 2011 and have the most important feature of on screen dial pad.
this is the link from their web:

Re: aftermarket player + dial pad

I purchased one of the Chinese-built units a couple of years back. My impressions (+/-):

+Good sound (for built-in amp). Made the factory speakers sound better than the stock radio (base model).
-"Clunky" interface. Too many screen presses to do anything (like that's new for us).
-Poorly integrated modules. Each function had its own controls that often interfered with other module settings (IE: radio audio adjustments messing with phone or DVD adjustments)
-Multi-tasking is usually not available. You can't navigate while listening to music.
-The hands-free phone usually has no DSP noise/echo reduction available, so the person on the other end of the conversation gets very annoyed! (One of the reasons I picked this vehicle: Best hands-free phone experience for everyone.)

After I got used to everything, one of the audio channels developed an intermittent failure (press on the rear chassis firmly and the channel came back). Probably something a tech could solve, but where would you get service documents?

Also, you will have to come up with your own GPS software. The hardware is already there, but no software (Tom Tom worked for me).

FYI, these units run Windows CE. If you have programming experience in this OS, you can make these units do anything you want!

Final analysis...

Reasonably good hardware, reasonably good capabilities, but un-polished UI and "gaps" in functionality. This is one reason why the name-brand comparable units cost over $1K, while the Chinese units are available for under $500.

Thank you for the informative review ;)
I'll give this a try and post a review myself.
