Boston area Jeep people

I'm moving to Boston in a few weeks. I had a killer service manager in Ohio who I could trust to not oversell me stuff and take care of me. I looking for the same in MA. If anyone has a service manger they like and/or dealers and I'd be more then happy to give you a high five. :D

I had a great service department in Illinois and moved to Lowell, MA. (35 miles northwest of Boston) I tried 495 Jeep in Lowell and they were difficult to deal with.

Allen Mello in Nashua NH is pretty good, but that's probably further than you want to go. Hopefully some others will chime in here.

Welcome to the area.

Yes it would be. If you are interested PM me and I'll give you my service guys name. Ive been working with him for 10 years more or less. And the guy my dad works with is just as good too at the same place.

I bought mine at Kelly Jeep in Lynnfield and had a pretty good experience and they have received good reviews. I have a friend that also bought one there with good feedback too.

I'm taking mine in for the first service on Saturday - routine oil change, tire rotation, and fixing the lower trim of the windshield (warped) under warranty. I can report back on my experience if it helps you.

The really good Boston area dealers went out of business during the turmoil a few years ago, or have been bought out.

It has been hit and miss for service otherwise, sometimes one is up, sometimes others. These are usually multi dealer outfits, and the Diesel guy may be pretty good while the Jeep guy not so good.

Of the dealers left, I've had my best luck with Allen Mello in Nashua, Contemporary in Milford NH, Gill in Natick, and Clark in Methuen. They will all assume you want nothing but the best for your vehicle and will oversell perhaps. You could probably get decent service at any of the Boston area dealers. Kelley may be the Dealer to most likely rip you off, but as mentioned, they have been pretty good to others. I don't think any of the dealer's service departments stands out as awful, but they do make mistakes. Negotiating price on a sale is another story.

my search is more for a local guy, I prefer to stay away from stealerships. I like the "old man who's been in the same shop since Jesus was a child" kind of place.

Re: Boston area Jeep people

I would stay away from Brigham-Gill in Natick. Long story short, they scratched the bottom back valance by the bumper. And by scractched I mean they destroyed it. Left it with deep grooves in the hard plastic of my 2011 Overland (shocking i know given my name here). They refused to say it was them and after we agreed to disagree they replaced it for "at cost" and that "new" piece had a scratch on it as well. I called, left a message about this and didn't hear back. Long story short, a few weeks later I contacted them and they said that they never got a message. After being called a liar multiple times by the service manager, I can assure you I will never go back there nor will I refer them professionally or personally.

I recently brought it to Central (in Norwood) for service. However, I looked at GCs there and bought elsewhere soooooo we'll see how long this streak continues. Any other suggestions are welcome....

Chry/Jeep in Raynham, MA is pretty good. When my 7/70 was in effect , they didnt give me any gripes about fixing my rig. I had a leaking pinion seal and a bad sensor on the diff....these were small issues though. It was done in a day. Figures my heater core would start to go out.....I am at 77k now and 7/70 is long gone!

I have been getting responsive and decent service from Baystate in Newton. They used to be Clark and White.
