First long trip and towing issue
5 Attachment(s)
Just got back from a 2000Km round trip to Ulladulla (south east coast of Australia) towing my boat. While decending down a mountain road with 25 and 35 Km/Hr hairpin turns the rear tire on the trailer blew, I had to continue driving for several Kms as there was no place to stop, shear drop on one side and rock face on the other. Even though the Jeep was being pushed down the road by a 2000kg boat and trailer on 3 wheels in heavy rain it felt stable and solid and at no time did I feel in danger or not in control. I am not sure if it would have been any different with the Ford Territory I had previously but I am glad I was in the Jeep. Along with Pics from the trip I included one taken with the wife's 300C. Don't they make a lovely couple?

Glad to read that Jeep handled so well. I'm sure twin trailer axles helped too. Nice pix.

+2 glad she handled so well, and more importantly that you didn't have more exposure after a blown trailer tire. cool fishing rig. mg is beautiful.

Gotta love that Mineral Grey, you have 2! That was my choice also. Best luck.

Very nice.

In my teenage years back in the 80's we used to go camping at Lake Tabourie just south of Ulladulla - what a glorious part of the world! The last time I was there was 1993 for a quick visit.
