Did you guys use a non-magnetic screwdriver when replacing your dome lights?

Both times I've messed with my evic, once changing bulbs and once taking it off to remove the headliner, I've used a non-magnetic screwdriver.

Yeah I did too. I remembered seeing it on wjjeeps.com. Although with the compass it's fairly obvious, but the kind of thing I'd forget about!

Glad I read this now, my bulbs come Monday!

I only asked because I contemplated not doing it with a non-magnetic screwdriver as I don't really care if the compass works or not.

I always use non-magnetic when messin with stuff like that because with all the electronic sensor crap that's in vehicles now a days, better to be safe than sorry

Anyone else have trouble getting this screw out? I think they used super glue on the threads on mine... :o

I never even thought about that...and have used a magnetic screwdriver on the EVIC in the past. I've had no issues at all. People wear magnetic crap on their wrists and that gets close to the EVIC everytime you reach up there to open the garage door, or switch modes. I'd be kinda surprised if a weak magnet like that would cause an issue, but that's just me speculating.
