i am trying to understand why my A/C does not drip water

No its not. The water is condensation off the lines themselves. The outside temp has got to be pretty warm and the AC should have a full charge blowin cold. The line should be almost to cold to touch under the hood. At least mine is and only drips when parked for a few minutes. Why does the lack if drippage cause a concern to you?

The water that drips comes from inside the vehicle. There is a drip pan that is under the evaporator core in the center console area. This drip pan has a drain tube that allows the water to exit the vehicle.

I do not know where you live but if it is hot outside, you have your AC running and there is no water dripping. I'd check for a clogged drain tube.
