How much to ask for my 2002 Grand Cherokee Limited HO

Back in December 2001 I bought a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited HO Inferno Red with all of the options. I really liked that Jeep, and parked it inside with a car cover. It has not been in winter weather or much rain. The plastic is still on the floor and the mats have not been used. I only drove it on vacations once a year and sometimes on weekends. The Jeep now has 11,300 miles on it. Everytime I get it serviced I make sure they get the miles right, no one can believe it has that low of miles, but I have records to prove it. I now drive an 08 WK and just don't need to keep both Jeeps. The 08 has nav and hid headlamps and all of the updated options, and I drive it all the time. The problem is I don't know what to price the Jeep for to sell it. It is not a CORVETTE or anything that is a collector car but it is worth more than Blue Book value. Has anyone sold an 02 with low miles, or heard anyone selling one to give me an idea on price.

kbb says $11,300 private party value in excellent condition which I'm sure yours is. To be honest unless you find a true blue WJ fan you're probably gonna have a hard time getting that.Don't get me wrong a near showroom condition GC is worth it but it's just the way the economy is now days. Good luck though cause you never know. Around here high mileage '04s are selling for under $7k and the miles just aren't gonna make up the whole difference.

I would place it for 12K, if someone comes around and offer 10K, take it.

Or you can place it on Ebay and let the market play out.

Hopefully it goes to a good owner... If I had enough money id buy it and a set of comp gray srt8 reps. Now that would be sick... Good luck with the sale

I'd price it like it was an 04 Overland with normal miles. You'll find a buyer. When I was in the market 2 years ago, I would have paid 10-11k for something like that easily. How about posting up some pics and all the details? You could guage interest in the "for sale" section or give the forum members a better look at what we're trying to price out.

Re: How much to ask for my 2002 Grand Cherokee Limited HO

Thanks everyone for the information. I had two local dealers offer 10K for the Jeep. One of the dealers is where I get it serviced at. A used car dealer offered to trade a 2004 Mercedes ML350 for my 02 straight across, but the ML had like 90K on it. I will try and find some photos to post. It is going to be a wet weekend and I really don't want to get it out in the weather to shoot photos right now. The Jeep is a Limited in Inferno Red with agite (black) leather interior. It has the 17" Rouge chrome factory wheels and all of the options, sunroof rear CD changer indash CD Tape radio heated seats dual power seats, trailer package skid plates tow hooks and the 4.7 HO engine with the chrome exhaust extention. To me the car really looks beter built and nicer than my 08 GC limited, not as much plastic in the interior as the 08 has. With all of your advice I will probably ask 12k and come down after a while if I have to. I guess I should of used the Jeep more since it has lost so much value. It stickered for 38K in 02.

I know someone just bought a 04' Jeep Grand Cherokee with 16K miles. So maybe they will chime in and help.

Wow, sell it for 12k. Go to car max and see what they give you for it, just to get a price idea.

I just Bought a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Rocky Mountain Edition 4.7 HO with 16,000 miles....I Got mine for $17,800 but i got warranty with mine...I would say a good price to set it would be around 10k-13k private sale.

Wow No offense but you paid way way too much. About $1700 over the suggested retail ($16,111)of most optioned out '04 Laredo I could come up with 16k miles. Private party value is almost $2k less and is usually what a dealer will sell for as long as you don't bite at the first number that comes out of his mouth. Even splitting the difference you paid about $2,700 to much even with 16k mi. I bought my '04 Overland in '07 for $16,900 out the door with 32k miles and 4 years of factory warranty left. That was a good deal but not super. Competitive dealers were all reasonably close.$18k is a ton of money to spend on an 8 year old Jeep.
