Colour Prices

Can any one in Australia tell me if there is a paint surcharge for some colours on the Overland GC.

I believe all colours except white attract a $500 surcharge on any model. There has been conjecture around this being charged on non pearl variants. For mine it is more about total cost of purchase. They add it on you get it taken off somewhere else.

Mendo is correct.
It appears to be an Australian "habit" to charge additional money for what they determine is premium paint. I think they consider anything that has more than undercoat on it as "Premium", even though there is no charge from the factory. If you look at the US Jeep site, you will see that all paints are the same price.

Here in the US, there are no premium charges at all for any paint color on the Grand Cherokee.

We were charged $450 for Bright Silver on our Laredo.
As Mendo said - it is part of the deal process - they want to get the price up and you work to get it down.
In fairness it isn't only Chrysler who charge for "premium paint" in Australia - most other manufacturers do as well. Probably because they can get away with it.

Mendo is right, $500 retail for all metallics which is everything but white.

I did not get charged for any premium paint.
Originally had Blackberry which was a premium paint and no extra.

It is more than likely the dealers getting away with profiteering in AUS
