Illumination

With the drivers door switch panel, at night my mirror control swithes do not light up like the window switches. Am I missing a globe or are they all like that?

... and according to my GPS the nearest Bunnings store to South Perth is 3546Km away. Mmmmm! Anyone know of any locality updates?

Mirror switch does not light up.

POI for nearly everything I look up is 3500km away in NSW.
May be we should swap units I got the EST one with your WST one:lol:

Re: Illumination

yer its weird...

I have spoken to the dealer about it, who said they will have a look at it when i bring it in next.

However, I did notice that some (most) of them changed once I have the GPS open for a period. is it possible for the information to be downloaded or something?

Many GPS devices require to be synchronised to your location. That usually happens when the device has been active for upto 1 hour. They should then only have problems if you move great distances without the device being switched on. eg: Perth to Adelaide. I assume that there is no USA mapping installed at the factory and the dealers are installing the local AUS mapping when being delivered. If that is the case, I doubt whether they would run the GPS long enough for it to synch. If the AUS mapping is in fact installed at the factory, then the system would definitely be confused when it was restarted in Oz.

Re: Illumination

The Nav system in our jeep is very poor and POI's are unusable. It wanted to take me ~3,500 kms to the nearest boat ramp the other day. Like a previous poster, eveidently we do not have Bunnings here anymore in the West. I wonder what those big green buildings with the red hammer painted on the side are used for?

That's interesting... As I'm finding mine is getting better as it goes on....

But still at first start it wants to take me to a bunnings 2000km away..

Maybe it does need a few hours to get "it's eye in"...
