Australian coding Q

Hey all I am almost ready to sign for a 2012 JGC Limited.
I have looked but cant find any specific info on coding.

What should I be asking the dealer to have coded when I pick the vehicle up?
ie: mirrors fold when armed
etc
etc

Maybe coding is the wrong word but you get the idea, I want as many features as I can get from the dealer written into the contract so they cant get out of it - as I read the dealer customer service is not all that hot.

Thanks

If you want the dealer to setup the car, you will most likely have to show them how to do it, as most do not know. You are much better to learn about your car here and not be disappointed when the dealer lets you down.
There is not much to getting all the settings right and setup, it will be part of the handover process from the dealer.

As specifications are "subject to change" all I could suggest is that you attach a printout of the specifications from the brochure to the contact, and state that you want the option to cancel the contact if there are any changes that you do not accept.

I'm also looking for info on what can be coded.
This is my first foray into Jeep, is there a list of options (not accessories) somewhere that I can pick through?
eg Like what options are there for lighting and entry and exiting that can be coded to the fob/car that are not the norm?

Thanks

Re: Australian coding Q

There is very little you can add from the factory, other than those options displayed in the brochure.
There are Mopar options, which you can see on their website. www.mopar.com or www.mopar.com.au
Be prepared for a shock in prices if you look at the us site.
Remeber you are paying sales tax on everything purchased at the point of delivery, and Luxury tax if over $73k. Therefore it may be prudent to get no non factory axtras until you have taken delivery, then have them fitted at first service.

Do not believe it is possible. Would be great though.

I was at a cafe near work today, and a Dodge Journey pulled up.

The driver got out, locked the car, and the mirrors folded. So maybe it's possible.
