Can't get LED Stop Light to work

I followed this procedure exactly and although the bulbs light up when the car is started, neither the brake or turn signal lights work. I don't know what is wrong.

I can feel the resistor getting hot.

Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated.

try reversing the bulb in socket. they need the correct polarity.

Thanks, I tried that but it didn't have any effect,

however I've been able to determine now that it only happens when the headlight switch is turned ON. In other words, with the headlight switch OFF, the LED"s work properly. They light up brightly when I push the brake peddle, and they flash properly when I engage the turn signal lever.

Something else is happening when I turn on the headlights that is interfering with the LED.

Maybe the 6 ohm/50 watt resistor is too much?

I'm going to try switching the resistors from 6 ohm/50 watt, to 3 ohm/50 watt and see if that helps. It's the only thing I can think of, unless the Automatic Headlights are causing the problem.

I cannot get this to work. I tried a 3 ohm, a 6 ohm and both 3+6 ohm resistors.

No change from the above problem description.

Sent a PM or email to taillight solutions the vendor. He's very knowledgable with all the wiring stuff.
