Auto headlights

I was wondering if there is a setting to adjust the auto on/off headlights? Some days I think it goes by the time or something cause my headlights will cut on when it's not very dark out and some days it'll be pretty dark out and they don't go on.

I know lexus can adjust it at the dealer. Maybe I'll ask the service tech. I actually don't mind them coming on early.

what if you cover the sensor with a piece of tape? that way they would always be on
