2005 Upper console removal

Need to remove my upper console, 2005 Grand Cherokee Limited, to repair my glasses holder door. Are there clips holding it in? Have read about screws in some but I find no screws in mine. Does it pry off with clips holding it in place? Don't want to break it if it doesn't pry off. Thanks for any information.

pull it down from the front. it takes a pretty good pull.
then you have about 3 harnesses. one is tricky and you need a small flat blade IIRC>

no screws. just clips

Thanks to Rob and Svenska Jeep Guy for your rapid responses. I will be giving it a "tug" and see what happens.

Re: 2005 Upper console removal

Today I finally had time to work on my upper console to repair my eyeglass holder door. As directed, I pulled like heck on the front of the console. Was afraid I heard a "crack" but saw no damage so kept pulling. Console dropped down. Was held in place by three "arms" with an attaching clip on each end that slides into the holder receptacle.
Found there was a broken plastic piece that would extend over and hold the left "hinge" of the door in place. I machined a dowel to fit tightly in the space and used super glue to hold it in. The door now opens and closes fine.
Pushed the console back up until it snapped back into place. All is well. Thanks again for the advice on removing the console.

Do you know where i can get a diagram of the upper console in order to see how the door mechanism should work?
