48,000km Service YEOW!

Ok, sitting down folks.... Came to a grand total of $1348.95... about $300 more than I thought, for that you get the tranny oil and filter changed, as well as the engine oil and filter, an air filter and a whole bunch of spark plugs + wheel rotation and the usual checks.... Oh yeah, There was a software up grade for the wireless, to prevent it flattening the battery.... Although mines been fine so far..... Thought I did read something about flat batteries out there someplace, so this might help.... Anyway be warned, start saving......

Getting the first 2 years or 48,000k servicing free = win!
I used to service my own cars too; but that was when there was more metal under the bonnet than plastic.. ;)

Go to this page and print out the coupon. Your Mopar oil filter will be free with your service.

It might only save $50, but every bit counts.

Desertthucker

This is all I could find about plugs, doesn't mention CRD:

3.6 V6 Pentastar (2011-up)
Mopar p/n SP149125AD (Champion RER8ZWYCB4)
(.043 gap, 6 plugs, tighten to 13 ft. lbs.)
WARNING: 12mm SPARK PLUGS MUST NOT BE OVER-TORQUED. The 3.6L Pentastar engine is the first Chrysler engine to use 12mm spark plugs. With the introduction of this smaller spark plug is a concern that can occur usually not seen with larger 14mm plugs. When the smaller 12mm spark plugs are over-torqued, the metal shell stretches, resulting in improper heat transfer from the ceramic through the shell. This in turn can cause engine damage, due to pre-ignition. With a torque wrench, tighten the 12mm spark plugs to 13 ft. lbs. (17.5 Nm).

5.7 V8 Hemi (2011-up)
Mopar p/n 05149177AB (NGK Yttrium ZFR5C11G)
(.043 gap, 16 plugs, tighten to 18.5 - 22 ft. lbs.)

6.4 V8 Hemi (2012-up)
Mopar p/n 05149212AC (NGK single platinum LZTR6AP11EG)
(.043 gap, 16 plugs, tighten to 7.5 - 15 ft. lbs.)

Hey Desert, Lets see, plugs came to $12ea, got what I assume is a part number, CHKSPLZFR5C11..... Expensive service eh, I'll do it myself once the warranty is up, the way I'm going it wont be long, 50k in eight months, the thing is every time it goes in there's always some sort of update to be done, and they've fitted heat sheilds, amplifier etc, that I knew nothing about..... So the plan is they'll have everything sorted by the time 100k rolls by.... Optimistic aint I.... Besides we've always got something that needs fixing round here, so to have the Jeep serviced washed and vacuumed is kinda nice .....Still love getting in it every day!
