I found how to avoid 'service 4wd system'

Since the day I got my 05 GrandCherokee AWD 5.7ltr Jeep it woudl flash 'Service 4wd system' about 90% of my starts. I hated it.

However, the past month, when I used my remote start it would never flash the 'Service 4wd System' - I have the factory installed remote start..It go me to thinking...

I dont like using my remote start and -- What does the remote start do that turning the key doesnt or vince versa??

If you wach closely when you push the remote start -- It turns power on atleast 2-3 seconds before it turns the starter.

Well, I've been experimenting with this all day - IF YOU INSERT YOUR KEY TURN IT TO ACC - WAIT A FEW SECONDS - THEN GO THE REST OF THE WAY WITH THE KEY - it will not show the code 'service 4wd system'. (on my jeep)

I did a search today on this subject and I found out there's a TSB a covering this issue -- I guess Chrysler put it out to the public in JULY 2011.

well, If you are like me and havnt done anything about your code Please try this and let me know if it works on your jeep. I'm interested if it works on other Jeeps.
