18x9 mb tko's and tire size

I hope to get these.in the future and my question is what size tire I can go.with. I plan on getting hankook dynapro atm. Other suggestions? I just want to make sure I can get the biggest tire or best size without any rubbing issues. Thanks for any help.

Someone on jeepforum.com has these wheels w/ 0 offset in 17x8.5 with a 265/70/17 tire and they fit before he got his lift with no rubbing issues. Not sure what that tire size is equivalent in an 18 but that's a ballpark for you to start with.

Tha.k you. i actually decided on the 17's anyhow and I was wondering if this same guy did this before his lift or not. So I think I know what I need to now. tha.ks again

He did do them before the lift. I emailed w/ him asking him specifics b/c I did the same lift on my GC that he did and he has pics of the tires/wheels installed before and after the lift. You should check it out on jeepforum if you use that site. His Jeep looks awesome.

Keep in mind though, if you have a Hemi I don't think 17's clear the brakes so you need to stick with at least 18's

Thanks. Mine is not a hemi. I love the look of his jeep. I'm hoping to get those 17" wheels and nitro tires. Are Burris good on hiway? Noise?

Burris should be Norris. Fat fingers

Never heard of Norris tires. I think you mean "nitto" when you said Nitro right? A lot of guys like the Nitto Terra Grapplers and say they are good on highway but I have never had personal experience with them.

Re: 18x9 mb tko's and tire size

Great and sorry for the typos. Using my phone. I am having a problem with the 17" tko's. I contacted discount tire and they only come in 18 and -6 mm offsets. He must have a typo on his wheels for his jeep. I'm not sure which one to go with. Stocks are 56mm correct? So the tko is 18mm and half inch wider than stock wheels also, so does that make it sit about 1.80 inches out from where the stock 17x8's sit? Annnddd will those size tires still fit with no issues.

Re: 18x9 mb tko's and tire size

Whoever you talked to is confused, the MB TKO wheels come in a 17 x 8.5 with a 5x5 bolt pattern because Jackal01 has them on his Jeep and I almost got them on mine too. The shop I went to found them in the system with no problem. Maybe the 18s are all he has available, but 17 x 8.5's are made. Search for my thread that I posted with pics of my Jeep and it will show you what a -6mm offset will will look like. I have procomp 17x9's with a -6mm offset so subtract about 1/2 inch and that's what an 8.5" wide wheel w/ -6mm offset will look like.

Sorry man, I was confused I think. You're saying you want a 0 offset but they're only available in -6 or +18. I got ya now. It just depends on how far out you want it to sit. If you're concerned about not sticking out past fenders at all, go with the +18's It's still going to be a wider/better looking stance than the stock wheels for sure. Sorry I was confused in last post.
