Good news for fellow Ohioans

Well in case you haven't heard yet, Ohio is finally getting rid of the extremely "Socially unacceptible" plates. No more stupid pictures of a friggin farm and rolling hills and crap. "Beautiful Ohio" my ass.

They are going back to a nice, simple, clean design.

While most might not give a crap, I personally can't wait to get rid of this ugly ass plate.

Is it weird that I am really indifferent to how my plates look? I don't mind the Ohio plates I have now.

Sorry buddy but that "thing" is even fuglier than the rolling hills(by the way you don't have any)and farmland(that you do with big ass two lane combines that try to kill me every time I got on a back road out there. Ever been to LaGrange?) Also - rep cause you have to have two of them:lol::lol::lol: They should let us design our own plates!

Yes they should...if we could...mine would TOTALLY be carbon fiber...heheheheh.

LaGrange sounds familiar, but I can't say I've been there. I do frequent some of the more "rural" areas of the state and re-donkulous farm equipment is friggin scary. Not scarier than an amish buggy though. Those things REALLY scare me.

South of Elyria on 301. Not too far from you really. My brother used to live there before he retired from Champion Paper. My nephew, brother and I used to campaign a '68 440 Cuda on nitrous down at Norwalk(before Summit) and Dragway 42. Had some bitchin good times in Ohio. What I remember of it anyway:lol::lol:

Now Norwalk I'm familiar with...well a little. And of course, "Summit" racing. Once I get about 30 minutes west of my town, everything looks the same to me...hahahaha. I looked at the map and I know I've been through there...I've driven 303 pretty far west on various occassions so I have to have driven through there. Kinda scary actually...I have images of "Hills have Eyes" rolling through the brain while I speed through the countryside looking for signs of civilization.

I left just before they released the Beautiful Ohio plates. My wife (has an art degree) thinks those old tags look like a 3 year-old designed them. LOL

They do! They are friggin hideous! I'll be the first one in line at the DMV for the new ones.

Oh how Summit Racing Equipment always seems to get brought into conversations on here lol i get so tired of that place... i spend at the bare minimum 22 hours a week there...

As for the plates, i cannot wait for the new ones, i think the Beautiful Ohio plates are alright, but definitely not for me. i think the beautiful ones are for old ladies, IMO. lol

22 hours?!?!!? Do you work part time there? If I did that, I'd have a 2nd mortgage.

I can't friggin stand the current plates.
