Plasti Dip completed

I started the project last night, got 1.5 tires done then finished up the other two today, along with some trim pieces.

I took off one wheel at a time, cleaned the heck out of the wheels and sprayed with 4 coats of PD. Cooper stops by to see what a tire on the floor smells like..

(I spent 20 mins trying to get a good taping off of the wheel. Even with gorilla tape, I had too much mcguire's on the tires.. heh

In between coats of PD I focused my attention to the driver side trim and laid down 2 coats of PD. I had glassed my passenger side rocker trim a few weeks ago, I sanded it all smooth and applied 4 coats of PD. Looks just like new.

Finished everything up, hit it with some detailer and raced the sunset to get some pics. Like it or spike it??

Looking good dude! I just did my 06 WK. I used index cards, and it was really easy. No taping required. I'm thinking about doing my trim too.

Thanks, yeah I figured that out on the first tire. I've got plenty more PD to fab and shoot a mesh style grill - my next weekend project.

I used to have those wheels, and was wondering what they'd look like PD'd. Right on chitown  I'd say delete that chrome trim down the sides of your WK and it would look kool-er

I'll PM you pics when I take them. (its nothing too crazy)

As for going all chrome on my exterior - I think you read it wrong. I'm actually PD'ing all chrome on my car, so that it matches the black. Hopefully that clears the confusion

hah yeah, I read it wrong for sure. I've seen the all chrome audi R8 and that immediately came to mind when I read your sig.. just can't imagine someone doing that to a Jeep.
