Gauges?

Does anyone know if the 02 Overland gauges will work in my 99 grand cherokee limited?

Re: Gauges?

they will not work as the gauges were changed in 01 and 02. the white face gauges in an 01 should work with your 99 but the 02 and up are different and will not work. hopefully someone else will chime in and confirm about the 01 white gauges.

I think you can find that info on Just For Jeeps, and I'm not 100% sure, but I think Antonio's right.

Anything particular that you're looking for? Like white face gauges, different style, etc?

Well buddy, it's a 50/50. I've been wanting to put an 04 cluster in my 2000, and have gotten conflicting reports. Some claim that they had 0 problems plugging in a different year cluster, some say that it didn't work. If you buy a whole new cluster, I recommend having a certified shop doing the swap as the chance that the mileage will have to be reprogrammed is high. Due to a wiring difference between the 99-01 and 02-04, if you put an 02-04 cluster in your Jeep, the seatbelt light may stay on all the time, but the other indicator lights seem to work properly.
An 01 is said to work fine after a mileage reprogramming.

There's a lot of information here: http://wjjeeps.com/gauges.htm

I just put in a cluster from a 2002 in my 2000. The electroluminescent work great, all gauges work perfect and was as simple as plug and play... However the seatbelt and airbag warning lights stay on at all times. A little electrical tape behind the faceplate fixed that. Pm me if you have any other questions. Oh, keep in mind there is a chance the mileage will stay the same. However was not the case for me, the donor gauge retained its mileage. Shave about 100 miles off :)
