Pulling Motor!!

Im pulling the motor, trans, and t-case out of my 99 parts jeep and rebuilding them all. Has anyone pulled the motor? How big of a pain in the butt is it? I know it wont be a walk in the park haha

Talk to scjeep4.7ho

It's not really that terrible. I did it alone, in a gravel driveway. Drop the exhaust, leave exhaust manifolds attached, pull resistor, core support, grill all that. Drop both drive shafts, disconnect all electrical harnesses. AC can be unbolted and pulled off to the side while not discharging the freon. You'll obviously need a cherry picker and attack to both large bolts (one on either head) and your going to also need a ratchet strap or something to pick up the end of the Trans to get it to clear the front of the Jeep since it's so long.
