2011 Hemi GC Blows grey and blue smoke! Need help.

This is what has happened to my 2011 GC Hemi. At 15,000 roughly went to turn the truck on in the morning and it shot out blue and grey smoke. I felt like i was in the movie "Uncle Buck" with my truck. It stunk like gas and there was alot of smoke, then the smoke went away. It only did it a start up. Then at 27,000 in the morning it did it again. from 15,000 to 27,000 it did nothing, no smoke at start up.

So, I wen to my local dealership and they stated it might be a stuck PVC valve. they checked it and nothing. They do not know what is wrong with it and stated if it was something really important a engine code will pop up.

A little back ground on my truck, it uses synthetic oil and a K&N drop in filter. Dont know if that has anything to do with it, but thought to add it to the discussion.

So, my question to other GC Hemi owners...has this happened to you or what might be the problem?

Do you drive a lot in the city? Stop and go traffic?

It may just have had early morning condensation and carbon build up from a lot of short trips and city driving.

Does it use a lot of oil or coolant? Is the oil milky?

Take a look into the coolant overflow tank. If it is nice and clear your head gasket is more than likely fine. If it has a milky oily slime/film you probably need a head gasket.

I live and work in Toronto, so yes alot of stop and go traffic. Coolant looks fine, the smoke is not white, its blue and grey. If its carbon and condensation build up, it would not blow this much smoke! Again, the smoke was a massive cloud and I have never seen a newer car or truck do this ever, especially with todays technology.:)

Did you happen to park on an incline when the blue smoke occured? Reason I ask is theres a number of others that are having the same problem.

If you are referring to a very slight incline, then this might be possible. Why there are others that are having the same problem?
