Camping in your WJ

Anyone created a platform bed for camping/storage in the back of their WJ? Tried to search but couldn't find a thread on it. Thanks!

While I haven't camped in my Jeep, I have considered folding the seats down and throwing an air mattress back their... I still want to, but my parents have a camper or I use my tent. Sometime I'm gonna have to sleep back there just for the heck of it haha

Here is another tent option: http://www.jeepworld.com/accessories...rokee/tent.htm

personally I want to get some 4 inch thick or so memory foam bedding type stuff and cut it to fit the wheel wells/walls, use a vacuum bag and keep it in the spare tire well.

When I camp out (when I'm up home in PA) I just sit out in a fold out chair, in front of a fire, beer in hand, and that's where I usually stay lol

When I first got my WJ I would throw an air mattress in the back when we didn't want to pitch a tent, but now I've got too much stuff back there. The air mattress worked great and stored easily. Making a platform back there might not be a bad idea if it could be pulled out easily.

You could always build a platform that fits inside the back that has a fold out section at the end with adjustable legs for support when it sticks out over the rear end.
