20" wheel calibration

can anyone confirm TSB/ Info on 18" 2012 JGC Limited, with dealer swapped 20"s onto the vehicle if there is any calibration / software needed.

Dealer found me my vehicle, built with 18's, and swapped to the 20's. They had called an hour before delivery saying they couldn't do the swap due to calibration issues, so I told them to find me a vehicle with 20's then. Surprisingly a few minutes later I got a call back saying there was a new calibration software out to address this.
Can anyone confirm this software calibration?

Reason I ask, is that I find the drivetrain / 4wd system to be not quite right. It may just be the way it is, but I have odd transfer noises in relatively good traction scenarios, and it seems odd. Not odd enough to complain, but certainly something funky going on.

Any info appreciated.

Re: 20" wheel calibration

If you are talking about 265/60/18 to 265/50/20 there is no difference is diameter (3/32"). I would never take advice from a dealership on tires and wheels. It's rare to find one that knows anything about the product they are selling.

sounds like they were trying to get outta the swap..then when u said you weren't taking it..they could magically do it so you would buy it...

Re: 20" wheel calibration

Gnerally, the is a revolutions per mile set up in the vehicles pcm. They need to look up the correct rpm for the tire and put that in.

I asked my dealer the same thing and he was clueless about it. After looking at the difference between the size, it's not by much, as previously stated. I went from 17's to 20's and at 80 mph, there is about 1mph difference I think. Not enough to warrant me addressing.
