Vibration in GC Overland with Hemi

Hello Folks!

I'm new to the site but have over 600K miles on Jeeps. Just recently bought a 2012 GC Overland with the hemi - I am disappointed with a vibration at acceleration and higher speeds, especially when going uphill and turning, does anyone have any suggestions? I have been working with Chrysler and they suggested higher octane gas, that did not work, any support is appreciated.

I have the same issue with a 2012 Limited with Hemi. Took it to the dealer. The guy drove it (while I was in the waiting room) and said he could not duplicate the problem. Turns out he drove it on level road and then on a very steep hill. Neither would duplicate the problem. It happens consistently on slight upgrades with part throttle. Hoping for a TSB fix.

I have the exact same problem and I have the same Jeep. Have not heard of any solutions as of yet but higher octane gas does not help, been there done that.

You may want to check out threads where shudder is discussed. I sometime get a shudder on steeper inclines, but I think the revs are allowed to go too low and the transmission clutches shudder a bit searching for the right gear. Give it a little throttle and the shudder disappears.

Vibration on turns can be a tire problem, what pressure are you running? My tires vibrate when on the lower part of the range, smooth when inflated to higher pressure.

Do you have 20 inch wheels?
