So i got home and they turn on but when i press on the break they don't light up brighter or when there off they don't even show and 3rd brake light does not work ither i put a led in there it worked but now i have this. Re: Tail Light problems

You need to check the connectors from the main tail light housing. Remove the twist-on bulb socket and look inside the main tail light and you will find 3 silver metals ( 1 on one side and 2 on the other ) that are attached to the plastic. You need to pry up just a tad the Single sided one to make sure it connects with the bulb housing. Re-attach the bulb and test.

If the plastic is cracked or melted, or still wont make contact after prying it, get a small piece of foil and fold it big enough and place it BETWEEN the metal part that you lifted n the plastic.

Check 3rd light after, if still not working you might need to replace the bulb.

Ive got a question thou, do your brakes lights turn on when stepping on the brakes with the lights off? If they do, then try what I posted above. If they dont light up, check for fuse first! Its number 23 inside the box next to the battery.

Re: Tail Light problems

When no brake light works, its or the fuse, or the switch itself or wiring. The switch has an adjustment feature. To see if the adjustment is the problem, press the switch with a finger and see if that makes any change. If yes, it has to be adjusted.
